Strength for Today.

Happy New Year

2020 was a year that helped shape and mold me. 2020 revealed who I am and who the people I am connected to are as well. My soul is calm and I have more peace now than I ever imagined I could have. I’m scarcely ruffled by life’s issues because I have God’s peace.

Someone said, “ Through adversity and strife true character is revealed.

*️⃣ A few lessons I’ve learned:

✅ God is sufficient.

✅ Being alone is not the same as being lonely.

✅ Grief is a personal journey and it makes people who have never experienced it to feel uncomfortable: Grieve anyway and don’t apologize for it.

✅ A dream that is moving to fruition doesn’t need a cheerleading squad: do your “doggone” thing.

✅ Soaking in my tub is the best

de-stressor I’ve discovered. I’m in it every week.

✅ I enjoy “simple pleasures” : the fizz of my bath bombs.

✅ I’m enough.

✅ I love me so take a number and tell me what I already know.

✅ God is sufficient❤️

*️⃣*️⃣ Family, 2020 is gone and even though we might still have the same troubles, we can choose to do several things:

▶️ Bring the baggage/ garbage with you

▶️ Actively and intentionally decide to positively change the narrative.

▶️ Intentionally see 2021 as a new beginning and fresh start to the best year of your life.

▶️ Start something you’ve always wanted to do: read a book, take a walk, go to the beach to watch the sunrise or sunset, exercise, eat healthy, eat something unhealthy but something you crave “hamburger fully loaded” ( just one time 😄), write a story, go to the doctor, get a manicure/ pedicure:

▶️ Just Do It◀️

*️⃣*️⃣*️⃣ You’ve lost your job: If you have children engage them in finding creative ways to make money.

🌹 Get a cooler and ice and get water, popsicles ( freeze them),

or a few soft drinks. Go to a busy spot and sell them for a dollar and buy some more.

🌹 Get a box of candy: Go to homes in your neighborhood (hopefully it’s safe or find a neighborhood that is safe) sell for $1. If you have kids go with them, people will usually buy from a kid.

🌹 Take your kids, ask neighbors if you could weed their Garden for $$, wash cars, ets.

▶️We cannot sit around waiting for that job to be dropped into our laps. Do something as you work on your dreams and goals.
